Pt4. Native Instruments Maschine vs Traktor Scratch Pro

Steve Freedom slices аnd dices Native Instruments Maschine, chops Traktor Scratch Pro out οf thе picture аnd crossfades wіth Akai APC40. Maschine іѕ stretched tο thе max! Future-Retro Revolution provides depth аnd bass. Thеrе аrе nο mp3 songs οr loops οr cuepoints. All sounds аrе produced bу Maschine аnd іt’s FX. Dude, Ableton Live & Traktor Scratch who is the slave and the master here. Can you post instructions on setting this up because I have both APC 40 & Maschine. God bless you!

    I set up Maschine with:

    Group A ext out 1 into Ableton Live track 1;
    Group B ext out 2 into Ableton Live track 2;
    Then set Ableton Live track 1 to A and track 2 to B so you can use the cross-fader and volume sliders on APC-40

    You can set up Groups ABCD for A’s and EFGH for B’s.

    The squeek Maschine sounds are from the ‘scratch’ bank.
    And the other sounds are instruments of Maschine.
    No loop samples used – instrumental only.

    Great insight. Thanks. Is Maschine rewired (master/slave) or plugged-in to Ableton Live? If rewired, any ideas.

    Would want Maschine slice and play loops into sets and remixed on cross fades in Ableton. Routing is my biggest problem.

    Keep up the good work.

    @ogbmicro Maschine is loaded as a VST in Live. Then you can assign Maschine’s 8 x outs to 8 x Audio track ins in live. Just hit the Record button on any track to record loops coming in from Maschine.

    Hope that helps!
